The GrainTerminal may be considered unique in several ways. It is directly linked to both the Dutch and
German railway network. Via a covered filling bunker, grain hopper cars from Eastern Europe and the Dutch
seaports are unloaded, and then a fully automated system transfers the grain to one of the six compartments.
A total of approximately 18,000 tonnes of grain products may be stored. The grain is then delivered
to recipients in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium according to the Just-in-Time principle.
