Graaco appoints Deputy Director

Coevorden-based logistics service provider Graaco will appoint Dick van de Laar as its Deputy Director, starting on 1 July 2018.

Mr van de Laar will be responsible for all operational matters at executive level. He will fulfil his executive duties together with General Director Ben Blog.
Van de Laar is highly experienced in logistics services. He has held various management positions at companies such as Exel, TNT Logistics, and DHL. For the past seven years, he has worked for H&S Group, most recently as Business Unit Director at H&S Coldstores in Beneden-Leeuwen.

With the appointment of Mr Van de Laar, Graaco is preparing for the major challenges it will be facing, such as digitisation, sustainability, synchromodality and the development of new services in the field of Freight Management and Value Added Logistics.

Background information: Graaco was founded in Coevorden in September 2009. The company aims to be a leading logistics service provider with a focus on production and trading companies. Graaco is located near the Dutch motorways A28 and A37, and the German motorway A31. It also has a direct connection to both the Dutch and the European rail networks. Graaco has a surface area of 200,000 m2 in Coevorden, with 70,000 m2 dedicated to a GrainTerminal and to warehouses that are suitable for a wide range of Value Added Services.
